NGC 1485 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sb in the constellation Giraffe at the northern sky . It is estimated to be 55 million light years from the Milky Way and about 25,000 light years in diameter .
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on February 24, 1886 .
