NGC 1468 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Eridanus at the southern sky . It is an estimated 439 million light years from the Milky Way and about 155,000 light years in diameter .
The object was discovered on December 19, 1881 by Édouard Stephan .
