NGC 1447 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Eridanus in the southern sky . It is an estimated 443 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 130,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 1434 , NGC 1445 , NGC 1450 , IC 352 .
The property was discovered by Francis Preserved Leavenworth in 1886 .
