IC 352 is an elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E3 in the constellation Eridanus in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 458 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 80,000 ly. 
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 1434 , NGC 1447 , NGC 1450 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on December 7, 1893 .
