IC 1984 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Pendulum Clock in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 525 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 110,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 1433 and IC 1976 , among others .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on December 6, 1899 .
