IC 1965 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Reticulum in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 743 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 115,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies IC 1955 and IC 1960 .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on December 8, 1899 .
