IC 1955 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Reticulum in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 539 million light years from the Milky Way and about 110,000 light years in diameter.

In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 1960 and IC 1965 .

The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on December 8, 1899 .
