IC 1938 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sc in the constellation Horologium in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 400 million light years from the Milky Way and about 95,000 light years in diameter .
The galaxies IC 1933 , IC 1942 , IC 1945 , IC 1946 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered on October 14, 1898 by DeLisle Stewart .
