IC 1962 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBd in the constellation Eridanus south of the celestial equator . It is an estimated 77 million light years away from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light years in diameter . In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 1353 , NGC 1370 , NGC 1377 , IC 1953 .
The property was discovered by DeLisle Stewart in 1899 .
