Kapamilya Channel is a cable television broadcaster owned by the Philippine media company ABS-CBN Corporation . The first broadcast was on June 13, 2020 at 5:30 a.m. (PST) with the Kapamilya Daily Mass as the first program started. The transmitter was set up as a temporary replacement for the terrestrial ABS-CBN main network, which ceased free-to-air broadcasting ordered by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) on May 5, 2020 due to the expiry of its statutory provisions. It contains many programs that ABS-CBN aired before stopping.
