St. Joseph Chapel (Hard)
The St. Joseph Chapel is the Catholic village chapel of Hard (Upper Bavaria).

It was built in 1725–1730 by a wealthy local resident. It is a baroque building in the form of a hall church with a small semicircular choir closure. The chapel has a four-sided wooden roof turret with a pressed hood.
The altar was built in the early Rococo period around 1730. Two pillars carry the curved elevator between the gables on which angels sit. In the elevator there is the image of the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove, surrounded by angel heads and clouds. Side tendrils are attached next to the columns. The altarpiece, signed “Hämer 1949”, shows Saint Joseph in glory with angels. The Way of the Cross was painted in the 18th century. A "high quality" (Grimminger) limestone figure of St. Willibald in " Soft Style " dates from around 1430 (formerly outside, now inside). An "effective Rococo work" (Mader) is a Vespers group from around 1750 carved in wood .
The chapel belongs to the parish of Wellheim.
