Kapellenstrasse (Thomm)

The Chapel Street is a city road in Thomm in the district of Trier-Saarburg , Rheinland-Pfalz , and part of the county Straße 82 . It leads from the center of the village past the old school and the Marienkapelle to the exit towards Osburg-Neuhaus / Hermeskeil . Adjacent streets are Trierer Straße (Kreisstraße 82), Kirchstraße , Borngasse, Theisbungert, Römerstraße, Altenweg and Auf der Heide.

The part from the town center to the old school used to be called Körtelgasse and the rest of the way was called Osburger Weg . Today, Osburger Weg refers to a street in the Thomm development area. The part of Kapellenstrasse from the eponymous Marienkapelle to the exit of the village is also known as the settlement . There are houses clad with slate that were once built for displaced people . The Marienkapelle is a slate stone building from the late 19th century.

The Slate Wackenweg runs on a small section on Chapel Street. The Grubenwanderweg leads from Kapellenstrasse in an easterly direction to Thommer Born, to the Thommer Schiefergruben and the Fell visitor mine .
