Cape Peninsula
The Cape Peninsula (Engl. Cape Peninsula ) is an approximately 35-kilometer-long peninsula in the southwest of South Africa . It is located south of Cape Town . At its southern end are the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point . In the north it begins on Table Mountain in Cape Town.
It consists of mountain ranges overgrown with fynbos vegetation and stony areas, a large part of which is taken up by the Table Mountain National Park - which includes several individual areas.

Attractions
There are numerous attractions on the Cape Peninsula:
- In the north: Table Mountain and the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden .
- On the west side: Camps Bay and the coastal road of Chapman's Peak Drive beginning in Hout Bay along the ridge of the Twelve Apostles .
- At the southern tip: The Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point (with the associated lighthouse) in the area of the Table Mountain National Park, where wild baboons and ostriches occur among other things .
- On the east side: Boulder's Beach with a colony of African penguins and the villages of Simon's Town and Fish Hoek .
