The Kronburg Kaplaneikirche is located in the hamlet of Kronburg in the municipality of Zams in the district of Landeck in the state of Tyrol . The Roman Catholic Chaplain Church , consecrated on the feast of Mariahilf , belongs to the Deanery of Zams in the Diocese of Innsbruck . The church is a listed building ( list entry ).

history

A chapel was officially built in 1673. In 1711/1714 a new building was built, which was consecrated in 1718. In 1912 the tower was added. 1959 was a restoration.

architecture

Together with the Widum, a monastery, a sacristan's house and an inn, the church forms a building ensemble from a saddle height south of the steep rock of Kronburg Castle .

The three-bay nave is followed by a choir with a five-eighth end .

The interior of the church shows a nave under a stitch cap barrel vault over pilasters with battlements. The round-arched triumphal arch is beveled. Stucco ribbons as leaf rods adorn the vault borders in the nave.

The vault painting was created by the painter Josef Jais in the middle of the 18th century with depictions of Joseph and Antonius of Padua as intercessors for the sick before Mary with the child, the Marriage of the Virgin, the Visitation of the Virgin Mary, and the miraculous healing of Andreas Lechleitner.

Furnishing

The classicistic high altar was documented in 1881 based on a design by Michael Sulz, it shows the altarpiece Mariahilf, and bears the statues Josef and Anna. The baroque tabernacle with a crucifixion group and the statuettes Peter and Paul was created around 1700.

The side altars show Baroque altarpieces, on the left Joseph and on the right Christophorus and Antonius of Padua, donated by Christoph Störzinger in 1717, according to the inscription. There are numerous votive pictures from the 18th and 19th centuries.

The organ was built by the Mayer brothers in 1893.
