The Kapuzinerinsel is a small and wooded island in the Carinthian Wörthersee . It belongs to the municipality of Maria Wörth and therein to the cadastral municipality of the same name . Besides the Flower Island (formerly also known as Snake Island), it is the only island in the standing water. The Kapuzinerinsel is uninhabited, but bathers like to head for them with rental boats, as it is a remote place for many. There are also sandbars on both sides of the island , which is why you should not come too close to the shore when approaching by boat.
