Cape Wirimbwe

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kapwirimbwe is an archaeological site in the province of Lusaka in Zambia ( Africa ).

The finds are dated to AD 500 and later. They suggest cattle farming and copper extraction . The finds are equated with those in Toutswe in Botswana , since iron-working arable farmers can be found living in both areas at the same time . They are classified as a derivative of the Nkope culture and the Gokomere / Ziwa tradition. There are similar finds at Chondwe .
