The Karakuldscha ( Kyrgyz Каракулжа ; Russian Каракульджа ) is the right headwaters of the Kara-Daryja ( Qoradaryo ) in the Osh region in southwest Kyrgyzstan ( Central Asia ).
The Karakuldscha rises in the south of the Fergha Mountains . It is fed by the local glaciers . The Karakuldscha flows over its entire length in a westerly direction along the southern flank of the Ferghana Mountains. At the lower reaches of the left bank of the river is the place of the same name Karakuldscha , the administrative center of the Karakuldscha Rajon . Finally it unites with the Tar, which runs further south, to form Kara-Daryja. The Karakuldscha has a length of 104 km. It drains an area of 1300 km². The mean discharge is 21.3 m³ / s.
