The Karcheezer See is a lake in the municipality of Gülzow-Prüzen in the Rostock district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .
The L-shaped body of water has a size of 36.3 hectares and an extension of 1450 meters from southwest to northeast. The maximum width is 630 meters. The water level is 7.8 m above sea level. NHN . Parallel to the long leg of the L-shaped basin, the Prüzener See , to which there is a narrow connection, joins in the north .
The eponymous place Karcheez is on the east bank. The headland to the Prüzener See is mostly forested. With the exception of the south-eastern bank section, the water is surrounded by a belt of trees, which are joined by meadows and arable land to the west, south and east. Several ditches flow into the lake from the south, including one from the Lenzener See and one from the Schloßsee. There is a detected as biotope and between the Karcheezer and the southwest lying Schloßsee Erlenbruchwald covered Seeverlandungszone .
According to the trophy system , the water is classified as eutrophic.
