The Prüzener See (also Mühlengeezer See ) is a lake in the municipality of Gülzow-Prüzen in the Rostock district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .
The body of water has a size of 31.9 hectares and an extension of 1540 meters from southwest to northeast. The maximum width is 245 meters. The water level is 7.8 m above sea level. NHN . Parallel to the Prüzener See, the Karcheezer See basin joins in the south , to which there is a narrow connection. The Hanenbeek flows into Lake Prüzen from the east. To the north, a ditch drains over the wetland Gülzower Bruch to Nebel , which carries the water further over the Warnow towards the Baltic Sea.
The Gülzow-Prüzen district of Mühlengeez and the federal road 104 are on the north bank of the lake, and the district of Karcheez on the east bank. The eponymous town of Prüzen is located 900 meters southwest. The lake basin is surrounded by a belt of trees, to which arable land and meadows connect in the north and west. The headland to the Karcheezer See is mostly forested.
