Karen Hawkins (athlete)

Karen Hawkins (born July 20, 1957 ) is a former American sprinter .

In 1979 she won the Pan American Games in San Juan in the 4 x 100 meter relay .

In 1980 the US boycott prevented participation in the Moscow Olympics . At the alternate Liberty Bell Classic , she won bronze over 100 m and 200 m .

In 1980 she became US champion in the 200 m.
