Karen Parkin
Karen Parkin (* 1965 in Bowden , Great Britain ) is a British manager . From May 2017 to the end of June 2020 she was Chief Human Resources Officer at Adidas AG .
Career
Karen Parkin received her Bachelor of Education from Sheffield Hallam University from 1984 to 1988 and later joined the Business Management Leadership Program at Lancaster University Management School.
In 1989 Parkin started her career as a Business Account Director at Lego UK. She stayed there for seven years until 1996 and held various positions. From 1996 to 1997 she moved to Tiger Electronics as Sales Director and then joined Adidas UK as Sales Manager.
Her path at Adidas leads her with different stations and a. 2004 as Vice President Business Development from Adidas America to the Adidas Group, where she has been Chief Human Resources Officer since November 2014 . On May 12, 2017, Karen Parkin was the first woman to be appointed to the Executive Board of Adidas AG. Because of criticism of her handling of the issue of racism, she submitted a resignation on July 1, 2020, which the Supervisory Board accepted.
