Karin (Carinerland)

Karin was a municipality in the Bad Doberan district of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , Germany, existing from 1957 to 2004 .

The community was created on January 1, 1957 through the merger of Alt Karin and Neu Karin. The districts of the municipality were Alt Karin, Neu Karin, Bolland and Danneborth. In the GDR, the church was in the district of Bad Doberan the district of Rostock . Since 1992 Karin has been part of the Kröpelin office .

Karin merged with the municipality on March 15, 2004 in the municipality of Carinerland , which was formed from the previously independent municipalities of Kamin, Karin, Krempin and Ravensberg.

On December 31, 2003, 438 inhabitants lived in an area of ​​14.76 km².
