Karin's brother

Karin Bruder (born August 4, 1960 in Kronstadt ) is a German author for children and young people.

Born in Kronstadt, Transylvania , she came to Germany at the age of ten. She studied land maintenance in Höxter . Since 1999 she has been writing books for children and young people as well as short stories. In addition, she works as a manager of writing workshops. Karin Bruder is a member of the Association of German Writers and GEDOK Karlsruhe. In 2002, 2005 and 2011 she received a scholarship from the Association of German Writers in Baden-Württemberg, and in 2007 the Ms. Ava Literature Prize . She was nominated for the 2011 German Youth Literature Prize for her book “Together alone” . She works and lives near Karlsruhe.
