Foundation, endowment

Since her father's death, she has been the main shareholder in KB-Filter-Service, a medium-sized company in Wardenburg. After his death, in accordance with the wishes of her father, she founded a charitable foundation, the Karin Burmeister Foundation , which will inherit the family fortune and which wants to help ensure that the achievements of the women's movement will not be forgotten in future generations. The name is also intended to indicate that there are also foundations by women. The foundation only supports women, especially when it comes to equal opportunities. One focus is also on IT services for women. Marita Haibach was a member of the Board of Trustees from the establishment of the foundation until 2014.
