Karin Hoff

Karin Hoff (* 1963 in Bad Neuenahr ) is a German Scandinavian .

Life

She studied German , Scandinavian and history at the Universities of Bonn and Växjö (1989 master's degree ). After receiving her doctorate in 1993, she was lecturer for German literature at the University of Växjö from 1993 to 1994 . From 1994 to 2000 she was a university assistant at the Nordic Institute at Kiel University . After her habilitation in 2000, she was a senior research assistant at Kiel University from 2001 to 2004 . From 2004 to 2007 she taught as an associate professor at the Scandinavian Department of the University of Bonn . Since winter semester 2007 she has been director of the Scandinavian seminar at the University of Göttingen .

Her main research interests are Scandinavian literature of the 18th century and modern, Scandinavian drama and theater, cultural transfer and cross-border crossings.
