Karin Hopfmann

Karin Hopfmann (also: Karin Henoch , born August 24, 1955 in Mühlhausen / Thuringia ) is a German politician ( PDS ) and a former member of the Berlin House of Representatives .

biography

Karin Hopfmann passed her Abitur examination in Eisenach in 1974 and then studied philosophy in Berlin and Leipzig with a diploma in 1979, she followed up with a postgraduate course in cultural studies from 1982 to 1984.

Hopfmann was managing director of the Kulturbund der DDR from 1981 to 1986.

From 1990 to 1995 she had a teaching position for intercultural practice at the Berlin Humboldt University. After leaving politics, she became self-employed in the field of supervision and mediation and also worked as a writer under the name Karin Henoch .

Hopfmann was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from 1995 to 2006 and was her parliamentary group's spokesperson for refugee policy.
