Karina Bryant
Karina Bryant (born January 27, 1979 in Kingston upon Thames ) is a British judoka .
Bryant, who starts for the Camberley Judo Club , celebrated her first major success at the 1998 European Judo Championships in Oviedo , where she won gold in her weight class. A year later, at the first World Judo Championships in Birmingham in 1999 , she won bronze. At the Judo European Championships in 2000 , 2003 and 2005 , she was able to repeat her success from 1998 and won gold again. In 2001 and 2003 she had to be satisfied with silver. In 2005 she won a bronze medal. She won silver at the Judo World Championships in Munich in 2001 , as well as in 2003 and 2005 . Bryant took part in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing , but was eliminated after a defeat in the first fight against the Mexican Vanessa Zambotti .
