Karl-Eddi Armgort

Karl-Eddi Armgort , mostly called Eddi Armgort , (born March 13, 1925 in Daverden ; † September 11, 2011 in Bremen ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Bremen citizenship .

biography

After attending school, Armgort completed a commercial apprenticeship. In the Second World War he did his military service and entered the Bremen civil service in 1947. He was married and had two children.

politics

Armgort had been a member of the SPD since the 1950s. He belonged to a local club of the SPD in Obervieland and was its chairman for many years. He was involved in local politics and was a member and then spokesman of the advisory board for the Bremen-Obervieland district.

From 1972 to 1983 he was a member of the Bremen citizenship. In the citizenry, he was also represented in the deputations for home affairs, for finances and for public service law, as well as in the petitions, data protection and auditing committees.

Further memberships

Armgort was managing director of the showmen's association of the state of Bremen for many years.

He was a member and chairman of a staff council in the public service as well as school parents' spokesman in Huckelriede and Kattenturm.
