Karl-Heinz Börner

Karl-Heinz Börner (* 1935 in Quedlinburg ) is a German teacher and historian.

After studying history and geography at the Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg , Karl-Heinz Börner worked as a teacher. In 1967 he became a research associate and research group leader at the Institute for History of the Academy of Sciences of the GDR in Berlin . In 1974 he received his doctorate with a dissertation on the crisis of the Prussian monarchy in the years 1858–1862.

In 1992 Karl-Heinz Börner was a member of the Berlin Historical Commission . Since 1993 he has been the local writer for the city of Harzgerode .

In addition to the Prussian history of the 19th century and the Battle of Leipzig in 1813, he presented several publications specifically on the history of the Anhalt city of Harzgerode and the surrounding area.

Karl-Heinz Börner is married and has two daughters.
