Karl-Heinz Göller

Karl-Heinz Göller (born February 4, 1927 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a former district administrator of the Coesfeld district .

Life

Karl-Heinz Göller attended the old-language grammar school in Gelsenkirchen and was employed as an anti-aircraft helper during the war years 1943–1944 . In 1945 he was taken as a soldier in American and English captivity. After the end of the war he received training as a primary and secondary school teacher specializing in German, history and catholic. Religious teaching. Initially active in Gelsenkirchen, he moved to Coesfeld in 1960 to set up a new secondary school for boys and became its first director. He held this office until his retirement in 1991.

He began his political career in 1946 when he joined the CDU . Göller was a founding member of the Junge Union Gelsenkirchen and became its district chairman. In 1969 he was elected to the Coesfeld district council. Here he was chairman of the school and culture committee and from 1975, as chairman of the CDU parliamentary group, promoted the growing together of the newly composed district council. As the successor to Heinrich Knipper , who resigned voluntarily in 1987 , he was the last (honorary) district administrator in the Coesfeld district and remained in office until 1999. Since then, full-time district administrators have been elected in the districts.

Göller was a member of the regional assembly of Westphalia-Lippe from 1964 to 1999 and also chairman of the school and culture committee of the district assembly of North Rhine-Westphalia .
