Karl-Heinz Mohr (born April 27, 1928 ) was a football player in the GDR Oberliga. In the top division of GDR football he played for the BSG Empor Lauter , the BSG Wismut Aue and the SC Wismut Karl-Marx-Stadt . With Wismut Karl-Marx-Stadt he won the championship in 1957 and 1959 and the cup in 1955.

Athletic career

One of the newcomers to the GDR league season 1952/53 was the BSG Empor team from Lauter, a town in the Western Ore Mountains with a population of 8,000 . The 24-year-old striker Karl-Heinz Mohr, who came from the lower class SG Geyer , was among the additions with which the team should be strengthened . In Lauterer's first league season, coach Walter Fritzsch Mohr initially used as a winger, mainly on the left. After 12 matchdays, Fritzsch relied on the proven Henry Schützer again , so that Mohr had only made 15 league games at the end of the season and had only scored two goals.

For the 1953/54 season Mohr moved to the upper division and local rivals Wismut Aue. Even there he could not establish himself as a regular player. Until 1960 he was part of the Auer Oberliga squad, which played as SC Wismut Karl-Marx-Stadt in Aue from 1954, but never reached more than nine league stakes in any season. While he was not used in the championship year of the Wismut team in 1956, he had the best odds in 1958 with nine point games. In terms of percentage, Mohr was the most successful in the transition round in 1955, which was carried out at the change from the summer-spring game year to the calendar year rhythm with only 13 games for each team, with eight appearances. With six or four point games he was involved in winning the championship in 1957 and 1959. His highest scoring season he played in his last league season in 1960, when he scored three goals in eight league games. The season 1954/55 was the most remarkable for Mohr. After he had only played one league game in the entire league season and had not played at all in the five cup games of the season, he was allowed to play the left winger in the final, which SC Wismut won 3-2 after extra time against SC Empor Rostock Replace Heinz Satrapa . With his submission to Armin Günther , he prepared the 3-2 winning goal. Overall, Mohr was used in his seven league seasons and the transition round in 1955 in 49 competitive games. There were 43 championship games, three national and three European cup games. In these games he scored six goals.
