Karl-Heinz Reuband

Karl-Heinz Reuband (born May 18, 1946 in Hamburg ) is a German sociologist and professor emeritus at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf .

Reuband studied sociology , psychology and social education at the University of Hamburg and the University of Cologne from 1966 to 1974 . In 1974 he received his doctorate in Hamburg and in 1990 he completed his habilitation in Cologne. After a substitute chair for sociology at the University of Trier (1991/1992) Reuband was professor for methods of empirical social research at the TU Dresden from 1993 to 1997 . Since 1997 he has been Professor of Sociology at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf.
