Karl-Heinz Ruch , called Kalle Ruch, (born February 24, 1954 in Löningen ) is a German publishing manager. Ruch studied at the Free University of Berlin economy and belonged in 1978 after Tunix Congress of the founders of the Berlin daily newspaper taz , of which he was to of 2019.

Little known to the general public, he is considered one of the most important, sometimes the most important person in the newspaper. “In truth he is taz,” wrote the former taz editor-in-chief Arno Widmann in a portrait in the Berliner Zeitung in 2012 . And the former editor Tom Schimmeck wrote about Ruch as early as 1999 in the week : "He is the power of the factual, the deus ex vacuo."

Ruch retired in December 2019 . He was adopted by a special edition of the taz at the weekend , which was entitled "kalle".
