Karl-Ludwig Mayer (born September 21, 1951 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

The striker Karl-Ludwig Mayer began his career in 1974 at SC Herford , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 1976 . There he made his debut on September 11, 1976 in the 2-1 victory of Herford at 1. SC Göttingen 05 . After 15 second division games in which Mayer scored a goal, he left SC Herford and joined the Hiddenhausen amateur club SV Oetinghausen . After his playing career, Mayer became a coach and in 1994 led Arminia Vlotho to promotion to the Westphalia Association . From February 2011 to January 2013 he was the sporting director at SV Rödinghausen .
