history

Surname

The Moosburg high school has been named after the scientist , university professor and Nobel laureate Karl Ritter von Frisch since 1983 . He was a university professor and head of the Zoological Institute at the LMU Munich and the author of the first biology textbooks for the upper level of high schools in Bavaria.

Planning and construction

A grammar school in Moosburg had been planned since 1968 and opened on September 17, 1974. The first classes were provisionally initially housed in the triple gymnasium of the Georg Hummel School and, in the second school year, also in the former agricultural school on Thalbacherstraße. In September 1977 they moved into the new school building in Albinstrasse. The expansion of the Moosburg grammar school was completed by 1981. In the spring of 1983, the first class graduated from high school in Moosburg. In 2007 the new extension was completed for the growing number of schoolchildren and inaugurated in 2008. In the 2010/11 school year, the KRvFG had around 1059 students and 72 teachers. When the building was being renovated, a photovoltaic system was installed on the roof of the high school.
