Karl A. Meyer
Karl Andreas Meyer (born July 23, 1958 in Basel ) is a Swiss painter and sculptor .
Live and act
Karl A. Meyer began his artistic career in New York City in the 1980s with large-format woodcuts , inspired by the iconography of the Hopi .
Since 2010 he has been involved in Raiding Project and stood next to artists like Hiroshi Hara , Ai Weiwei and Terunobu Fujimori from his works, including the installation of People Cloud (Engl. Cloud of Humanity ), which consists of 15,000 clay figurines and in numerous exhibitions in Was shown at home and abroad. This resulted in large-format sculptures such as B. the Birdman , which was built in 2015 at the entrance to Raiding , the birthplace of Franz Liszt .
