Art In Flow is a publishing house and office for contemporary art based in Berlin-Kreuzberg .
history
Art In Flow was founded in 2004 by Ulrike Oppelt as an online gallery for contemporary art. The online platform developed into an office for art with a focus on art education, media-appropriate presentation of artistic profiles and the additional creation of thematic related print media. The publishing house was founded in 2007. It emerged from continuous collaboration with artists and institutions. The focus was on the publishing of artist monographs and exhibition catalogs. Since 2014 Art In Flow has been cooperating as a media partner with Kunstmatrix Technologies GmbH for the experimental use of virtual 3D exhibition spaces and an app for augmented reality .
Conception
Art In Flow is a protected word mark. This unites the publishing house and the art office with specialized services for artists. In addition to texts and catalogs, these also include catalogs of works and the processing of artistic bequests. Artist books are developed in close collaboration with the artists. For some catalogs / art books, special editions and editions ( prints , photography , original drawings) were created, which are offered as unique pieces or in limited editions (numbered and signed). Projects are carried out with both established and unknown artists. Since art and culture are subject to constant change, media communication and mediation channels are used. The quality and potential of the artistic work are decisive for the publishing or curatorial activity. In the virtually accessible rooms for viewing art, pictures, sculptures and sculptures as well as films and installations by contemporary artists can be integrated into the presentation.
