Karl Menzen

Karl Menzen (born April 11, 1950 in Heppingen ) is a German sculptor whose sculptures are often in public places.

He studied materials science at the Technical University of Berlin and graduated with a degree in engineering . He was employed by Volkmar Haase and has been working as a freelancer since 1986. He lives and works in Berlin. Since 1987 he has shown his works at exhibitions in Berlin, Frankfurt am Main, Dresden, Potsdam, Zwickau, Chemnitz, Amstelveen, Milan, Mantua and San Sepolcro, among others.

Sculptures of his are in public spaces, for example in Berlin, Salzgitter , Radebeul , Gröditz (Saxony), on the Hoher Fläming art hiking trail and in the Gottorf Castle Sculpture Park (Schleswig-Holstein). Karl Menzen received 1st prize in the art competition for the southern route of the Hoher Fläming art hiking trail.
