Karl Adolf Koefoed Larsen
Karl Adolf Koefoed Larsen (* May 2, 1896 in Holstebro ; † December 22, 1963 ) was probably Denmark's most important chess composer .
Chess composition
He published his first chess exercise in Skakbladet in 1912 at the age of 16. In total, his work includes around 600 compositions.

From 1929 to 1933 Karl Adolf Koefoed Larsen headed a chess column in Politens Magasinet and from 1930 to 1958 also a column in Frederiksborg Official Avis . He was very active as a journalist, including as editor of Skakbladet .
Larsen supported the idea of founding the Dansk Skakproblem Klub s.
Private
Larsen grew up in Holstebro . His father Peder Andreas Larsen (born April 1, 1869 in Åker (Bornholm), † April 28, 1946 in Rønne ) was also a well-known chess composer. His brother Arne was also a chess enthusiast .
After graduation, Larsen worked at the State Life Insurance Company and later became senior assistant. The family with the children Peer and Inger settled in Hillerød .
Larsen was a founding member of Hillerøder Bridge Club and has been active in Hillerød Skakklub for many years. He played the violin and was also interested in painting. His son became a painter .
