The Roman Catholic Diocese of San Andrés Tuxtla ( lat. : Dioecesis Sancti Andreae de Tuxtla , span. : Diócesis de San Andrés Tuxtla ) is in Mexico located Roman Catholic diocese , based in San Andres Tuxtla .

history

The diocese of San Andrés Tuxtla was on May 23, 1959 by Pope John XXIII. established with the Apostolic Constitution Quibus christiani from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Veracruz-Jalapa and the Diocese of Tehuantepec and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Veracruz-Jalapa as a suffragan .

On June 9, 1962, the Diocese of San Andres Tuxtla parts of its territory was the foundation of the Apostolic Constitution Populorum bono erected Diocese of Veracruz from.
