The Roman Catholic Diocese of Tehuantepec ( lat. : Dioecesis Tehuantepecensis , span. : Diócesis de Tehuantepec ) is one in Mexico located Roman Catholic diocese based in Tehuantepec .
history
The diocese Tehuantepec was on June 23, 1891 by Pope Leo XIII. built from cessions of territory by the diocese of Antequera and subordinated to the archdiocese of Mexico City as a suffragan . On June 29, 1951, the diocese of Tehuantepec was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Veracruz-Jalapa as a suffragan. The Diocese of Tehuantepec announced on May 23, 1959 parts of its territory to the founding of the Apostolic Constitution Quibus Christianized erected Diocese of San Andres Tuxtla off.
