The Archdiocese of Tulancingo ( lat. : Archidioecesis Tulancingensis , span. : Arquidiócesis de Tulancingo ) is in Mexico located Roman Catholic Archdiocese based in Tulancingo .

history

The diocese Tulancingo was on January 26, 1863 by Pope Pius IX. built from cession of territory by the Archdiocese of Mexico City and subordinated to this as a suffragan . On November 24, 1922, the Diocese of Tulancingo were parts of its territory to the founding of the Apostolic Constitution Inter negotia erected diocese Huejutla from. Further annexations took place on February 27, 1961 founding of the Apostolic Constitution quandoque postulant erected Diocese of Tula and on 9 June 1962 on the establishment of the Apostolic Constitution latet Non erected Diocese of Tuxpan .

On November 25, 2006, the Diocese of Tulancingo by Pope Benedict XVI. elevated to the archbishopric with the Apostolic Constitution Mexicani populi .
