Pedro Aranda Díaz-Muñoz (born June 29, 1933 in León de los Aldama ; † November 11, 2018 in Tulancingo ) was a Mexican clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Tulancingo .

Life

Pedro Aranda Díaz-Muñoz was ordained a priest on October 28, 1956 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on April 10, 1975 Bishop of Tulancingo. The Archbishop of Mexico , Cardinal Miguel Darío Miranda y Gómez , ordained him episcopal on June 24 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Mario Pio Gaspari , Apostolic Delegate in Mexico , and Anselmo Zarza Bernal , Bishop of León . His episcopal motto is "Amar, unir, servir".

Pope Benedict XVI elevated the diocese to an archbishopric on November 25, 2006 and thus became the first archbishop of Tulancingo.

On June 4, 2008, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for reasons of age.
