Jenaro Méndez y del Río (born January 10, 1867 in Pajacuarán , Michoacán , Mexico , † March 13, 1952 in Huajuapan de León , Oaxaca ) was Bishop of Huajuapan de León .

Life

Jenaro Méndez y del Río received on 15 March 1891, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On March 16, 1923, Pope Pius XI appointed him . to the bishop of Tehuantepec . The Archbishop of Antequera , José Othón Núñez y Zárate , gave him episcopal ordination on May 20th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Aguascalientes , Ignacio Valdespino y Díaz , and the auxiliary bishop in Mexico City , Maximino Ruiz y Flores . The inauguration took place on June 3, 1923. On March 17, 1933 Pius XI appointed him. to the bishop of Huajuapan de León.
