Karl August Wiedenhofen
Karl August Wiedenhofen (born December 12, 1888 in Düsseldorf ; † May 21, 1958 there ) was a German lawyer ; as the central figure of a resistance group, he worked against the Nazi regime .
Resistance in Düsseldorf
In April 1945 he took part in Aktion Rheinland , an initiative by citizens of Düsseldorf with the aim of handing the city over to the advancing US armed forces without a fight.
Honors
Wiedenhofen has a grave of honor in the north cemetery in Düsseldorf.
In Hellerhof , the southernmost district of Düsseldorf, there is a Wiedenhofenstrasse.
