Karl Bülowius
Karl Bülowius (born March 2, 1890 in Koenigsberg , † March 27, 1945 in Coffee County , Tennessee , USA ) was a German officer, most recently with the rank of lieutenant general .
Life
Bülowius served as an officer in the First World War . After the war he switched to the Reichswehr and worked as a commander in various units. In the Wehrmacht, he served as an army pioneer leader in the 8th Army and in the Panzer Army Africa during World War II . Bülowius was taken prisoner by the US in Africa. He died of suicide in the United States at Camp Forest Hospital in Tennessee.
