Karl Becker (politician, 1844)
Karl Becker (born November 11, 1844 in Oerlinghausen ; † November 16, 1913 there ) was a cigar worker and politician ( SPD ).
Life
Becker, who was a Protestant denomination, was the son of a worker. He married in 1870. He was a cigar worker in Oerlinghausen. Since the 1890s he was one of the leading functionaries of the SPD in the Principality of Lippe . He was a member of the Lippe state parliament for an electoral period from 1900 to 1904. He was elected in the regional election in Lippe in 1900 in the runoff election on December 27, 1900 in the third constituency of the third class with 1111 out of 1965 votes. He prevailed against the brickworks owner Moritz, who in the first ballot on December 12, 1900 was second behind Becker (32.5%) with 31.7% of the vote.
