Henning Chadde

Henning Chadde (also: Henry Chadde ; * 1969 in Hanover ) is a German author , journalist , cultural manager , singer and actor, as well as publisher and presenter . He is co-organizer of the German-language Poetry Slam Championships 2017 in Hanover.

Life

Raised in the Hanover area , Henning Chadde studied history and German studies after graduating from Leibniz University . During his research in the scientific literature held by the Hanover City Library , he developed his preference for contemporary literature and fiction there in the early 1990s.

Henning Chadde soon published his own writings in anthologies , literary magazines and self-published. Since 1995 he has appeared nationwide at author readings with his own texts, especially in the area of slam poetry .

Also around the mid-1990s, Chadde organized and moderated “monthly reading series in Hanover and the surrounding area ”, including Power Words - The Hanover Poetry Slam , the Reading Show Fast Track Pirates and The Culture Kiosk .

In 2003, Chadde was elected the German Slam Poetry Master of the Heart and won the Poetry Slam at the Lower Saxony Literature Days 2003 .

At the beginning of the 21st century, Henning Chadde began his literary series ABC-Alarm! Which has continued for more than a decade . , at which nationwide acting authors and groups of authors appear.

Together with Jörg Smotlacha , Tobias Kunze , Jan Sedelies and blogger Ninia Binias , Chadde organized the German-language Poetry Slam Championships 2017, at which 20 groups of poets and 110 individual poets performed in the Faust cultural center, for example .

Henning Chadde, co-editor of the online journal langeleine.de , is "a staunch Lindener and papa."
