Karl Butsch

Karl Butsch (born July 27, 1893 in Brenden , † March 23, 1974 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German banker.

Career

Butsch was born as the son of the main teacher Karl Butsch. His father died early. After he had passed his matriculation examination at the Gymnasium Freiburg, he enrolled on October 31, 1911 at the Law Faculty of the University of Freiburg , where he remained as a student until the summer semester of 1913. Butsch married Johanna Gaess on September 1, 1923 in Freiburg. In the 1950s, Butsch was director of the Freiburg branch of Süddeutsche Bank AG and a member of numerous supervisory boards, partly as a board member.

On July 11, 1951, he was appointed honorary senator of the University of Freiburg with two other Freiburg bank clerks.

He died on March 23, 1974 in Freiburg.
