Karl Dampier

Karl Dampier (born December 13, 1948 ) is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). He was most recently a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council between 2005 and 2007 .

Karl Dampier was already a member of the Vienna state parliament and municipal council when he was sworn in as deputy district mayor in the Donaustadt district on December 22, 1993 . Dampier held this position until February 24, 2005. After the death of the district chairman Franz-Karl Effenberg , the local councilor Renate Winklbauer was elected as his successor. Dampier subsequently took the municipal mandate from Renate Winkelbauer and was a member of the Vienna state parliament and municipal council between February 25, 2005 and December 31, 2007 . Karl Dampier is also the president of the Kaisermühlner football club SV Donau .

The former local council runs the caretaker company da-ka. Karl Dampier was criticized by the opposition due to numerous orders in subsidized housing and property developers close to the city. The SPÖ rejected the allegations against its MPs because "all activities were strictly checked and in no case were there any legal incompatibility".
